Temple Street Children’s Hospital has seen an increase in the number of children presenting with highly contagious respiratory and gastrointestinal infections.

The Mater Hospital yesterday restricted access in response to the spread of a highly contagious vomiting bug.

After an increase in the cases of infection, Temple Street has decided to limit visits to parents and guardians until further notice.

The public are advised to visit the hospital only in case of emergency and even siblings of patients are asked to not attend the hospital until further notice.
