Two men arrested in Garda inquiry into vehicle crimes in Dublin

Two men have been arrested after gardaí seized a number of cloned registration plates and falsely registered vehicles in north Dublin.

The Garda national drugs and organised crime bureau conducted a raid in Clongriffin as part of ongoing investigations into the theft of catalytic converters.

On Thursday, four stolen catalytic converters, a car-jack, cutting equipment and a number of cloned registration plates were seized along with two falsely registered vehicles and one cloned registered vehicle.

Two men, aged 21 years and one juvenile, were arrested at the scene. Both were detained at Coolock Garda station.

The man was later charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Friday.

Gardaí said investigations ongoing.
