Witness appeal after girl (6) hit by van in Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin investigating a collision in which a six-year-old girl was seriously injured have renewed their appeal for help.

The collision occurred at about 7.20pm on December 17th on the Malahide Road, close to the roundabout at Darndale.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and are also seeking information about the movements of a green Renault Kangoo van, with an 07 D registration, before and after the collision with the girl.

In a statement, gardaí said “significant progress” had been made in relation to the case including the seizure of a van which is being technically examined.

The driver of the van has been identified and is assisting with the investigation.
