A woman has been killed in a two-car collision in Co Monaghan.
The incident occurred on the Clones Road, in Aghalisk, at approximately 7.50am on Wednesday morning.
A female driver in her mid-50s was killed in the collision. Her body was removed to Cavan General Hospital following the incident.
The second driver, a man in his late 50s, has been taken to hospital. His injuries are described as non-life-threatening.
The scene has been sealed off for a Garda forensic examination and diversions are in place.
AA Roadwatch are advising motorists to avoid the area around Carson’s Bridge.
