Irish exports to non-EU countries fell slightly in April, according to figures released this morning from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
In April such exports on a seasonally adjusted basis were worth €2,924 million down from €2,970 million in March. Imports rose from €1,398 million to €1,790 million in the same period.
Comparing January to April 2004 with the corresponding period in 2003, exports to countries outside the EU were up 1 per cent compared in spite of a 23 per cent drop in computer exports.
Exports to the United States climbed 2 per cent in the January-April period.
