Olympics: Ciara Peelo, who carried the Irish flag at the opening ceremony, gets her Olympic campaign under way at 6am (Irish time) when she takes to the water in the women's laser redial series.
Gerald Owens and Philip Lawton are the next Irish competitors in action from 7am for their opening race in the men's 470 class.
Elsewehre Eoin Rheinisch's Olympic dream is still alive after he scraped into the slalom K1 semi-finals. Rheinisch profited from a catastrophic error by America's Scott Parsons to claim the 15th and final spot in the next round.

The men's lightweight four boat of Cathal Moynihan, Gearoid Towey, Richard Archibald and Paul Griffin are hoping to advance from tomorrow's repechage 1 when they take on the United States, the Netherlands and Egypt at 9.40am.
The Irish show-jumping team will compete in the three-day team event tomorrow with the action starting from 12.15pm.
At the National Aquatics Centre Andrew Bree will line out in Heat 4 of the men's 200 metre breaststroke at 12.22pm
