Dublin-based aviation services company Aircraft Management Technologies (AMT) and Fujitsu have today announced a strategic alliance for developing and marketing solutions for airline operations.
AMT is an aviation industry solutions provider, which develops web-based information system technology to streamline operations within the aviation industry.
As part of the partnership AMT will also jointly market Fujitsu IT and PCs into the aviation sector.
Commenting on the new strategic alliance Mr Bernard Hensey, chief executive of AMT, said: "This partnership represents a huge vote of confidence for AMT".
"We believe that in the current international climate it is imperative that airlines cut costs without compromising passenger safety".
Fujitsu managing director, Northern Europe, Mr Nigel Owens said: "The solution will provide the aviation industry with up-to-date operations information enabling decisions to be made and actions to be taken to streamline many of the time-consuming and costly processes currently undertaken manually".
The software allows electronic entry of operations and maintenance information by pilots, cabin crew and ground engineers.
This is sent to a web-based Aircraft Data Server during the aircraft turnaround cycle. Information on the server is instantly available for simultaneous use by all authorised users within the airline and its service vendor base.
