Irish jockey on assault charges in Britain

An Irish jockey has appeared in court in London charged with indecently assaulting a female flight attendant on a plane.

An Irish jockey has appeared in court in London charged with indecently assaulting a female flight attendant on a plane.

Mr Timmy Murphy (27) is from Kilcullen, Co Kildare but lives at Faringdon, Oxfordshire. He is accused of attacking the woman during a Virgin flight from Narita, Japan, to Heathrow airport, London on April 14th.

Mr Murphy won the Irish Grand National last year and is also enjoying his best season, riding more than 95 winners in Britain.

Magistrates sitting in Uxbridge released Mr Murphy on bail and he is due to appear before them again on May 2nd.
