Factory gate prices decreased by 0.3 per cent last month, according to figures from the Central Statistics Office this morning.
This is the same decrease as in the same month last year. As a result, the annual percentage change showed a fall of 8.4 per cent in November 2003 - similar to the decrease in October 2003.
In the year, the index for export sales decreased by 10.3 per cent and the index for home sales increased by 0.5 per cent.
Contributing to the annual change were decreases in office machinery & computers (-13.9 per cent), chemicals (-13.2 per cent) and radio, television & communication equipment (-9.7 per cent), while there was an increase in tobacco products (+10.7 per cent).
The yearly price index for mining and quarrying increased by 2 per cent, while it increased by 1 per cent in the month.
