The Irish U21s have been knocked out of the IRB Under 21 World Cup, going out on a scoreline of 30-19 against a strong Argentina outfit.
Despite building up a 19-12 half time lead thanks to tries from Richie Lane, Ciaran Potts and Niall Ronan, the Irish pack fared disappointingly in the second half - allowing the Argentinians back into the game.
The Irish now go onto a ninth to 12th place battle with Italy, Japan and Canada, while Argentina join New Zealand, Australia and South Africa in the semi-finals.
