Two new governors have been appointed to The Irish Times Trust.
Mary Davis is chief executive of Special Olympics Ireland. Prior to that she served as ceo for the 2003 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Dublin. She serves on many committees and boards and, more recently, was appointed by the Taoiseach as chair of the Taskforce on Active Citizenship.
In November 2004 she became a member of the Council of State at the request of President Mary McAleese.
Eoin O'Driscoll is managing director of business consultancy Aderra and was formerly a senior vice-president with Lucent Technologies.
In addition to being on the board of a number of early stage telecoms companies, he is chairman of Forfás, a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ireland, the Cork University Foundation, the Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience and the national executive council of Ibec.
