Deaglán de Bréadún has been appointed Political Correspondent.
An award-winning journalist, he was previously Foreign Affairs Correspondent, Northern Editor, Political Reporter and Irish Language Editor. He is the author of The Far Side of Revenge: Making Peace in Northern Ireland, published in 2001. A native of Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, he was educated at CBS Synge Street and UCD.
Liam Reidhas been appointed Environment Correspondent. He joined The Irish Timesin 2003 as a general reporter and has been Political Reporter with the paper since March 2005.
A native of Aughnacliffe, Co Longford, he holds a Master's degree in journalism from Dublin City University and is an economics graduate from TCD. Before joining The Irish Timeshe worked for the Sunday Tribuneand the Sunday World.
In his new role he will be working with Irish TimesEnvironment Editor Frank McDonald.
Conor Goodmanhas been appointed Editor of The Ticketentertainment supplement. A graduate of Dublin City University, he has worked as a journalist since 1993 and joined The Irish Timesas a subeditor in 1998. Since 2000, he has been Production Editor of The Irish TimesMagazine.
