Mr Niall O'Dowd, the founder and editor of the Irish Voicenewspaper, has signed a contract with Dingle based publishers Brandon/Mount Eagle to write a book about the plight of Irish-Americans in the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Centre.
The book has the working title, Fire in the Morning: The Irish at the World Trade Centreand is expected to be published in August.
"It's a subtext to the tragedy, but it is an important subtext," said Mr O'Dowd.
Mr O'Dowd said he has not pitched the book to any American publishers yet.
