A senior Islamic Jihad leader has promised to avenge the killing of one of its commanders in this morning's Israeli helicopter missile strike in which a 12 year-old schoolboy was also killed.
Abdallah al-Shami, told journalists shortly after his close relative Aziz al-Shami died of his injuries in
hospital that the killing "increases their determination to launch powerful and painful strikes against the enemy".
He said revenge would be exacted "so that the enemy will not have time to celebrate his crime".
