Israeli forces have arrested 20 wanted Palestinians, including two members of Islamic Jihad, during overnight operations in the West Bank.
One of the Islamic Jihad activists was arrested in Ramallah and a second was picked up in Tammun, a village north-east of Nablus.
Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing in the Israeli coastal resort of Netanya yesterday that injured 26 people, six of them seriously. The bomber came from the northern West Bank town of Tulkarem.
The army also claimed picked up a potential suicide bomber in the northern village of Tubbas, some 20 kilometres south-east of Jenin, and another man believed to be involved in the intended attack, early yesterday morning.
