Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinians today during an army raid in the Gaza Strip.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, part of President Yasser Arafat's Fatah faction, said in a statement two of its members were shot dead in an exchange of fire with an Israeli force near the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip.
An Israeli military source said soldiers fired at two armed men, hitting both. Israeli television said troops entered the area to search for rocket launchers used by militants to attack Jewish settlements in Gaza and a town in southern Israel.
