Two Israeli settler-brothers were shot dead today while doing business with Palestinians in a West Bank village.
Masked gunmen shot and killed Shlomo and Mordechai Odesser, aged 60 and 52, as they delivered diesel fuel to a Palestinian cinder block factory in the village of Jammain, witnesses said.
The brothers made their delivery run armed with a sub-machinegun but did not return fire against the gunmen who lay in wait.
Israeli police said that the owner of the factory had reported the ambush outside his building, and that witnesses in Jammain recounted seeing two masked men fleeing.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a group linked to Palestinian President Yasser's Arafat's Fatah movement and which has carried out numerous attacks on settlers, claimed responsibility for the killings.
