The festive season wouldn't be complete without a few parties to put the spirit back into Christmas and this weekend sees a whole rash of them. Model and event organiser Sonia Reynolds and solicitor Barry Lyons decided to make their engagement party double-up as a Christmas bash at Baton Rouge restaurant, while Christy Ward of the Marino Press together with his brother, artist Michael Ward, are insisting that everybody must be dressed as Adam Ant at theirs.
There's an office party with a twist at Planet Hollywood - the cast and crew of Meteor are celebrating not only Christmas but also the end of filming. On Monday, Dr Sean Rowland, the director of the new Irish Institute at Boston College, is holding his annual bash. Usual guests include Mary O'Rourke TD, Norma Smurfit, Jean Kennedy Smith and Eileen Murphy.
