Twenty-eight Pakistani nationals were arrested in the Italian city of Naples with explosives and a map of the town where NATO's southern headquarters is located, court sources said today.
Police arrested the 28 yesterday in an anti-drugs operation and said they were part of a terrorist "sleeper cell" that was planning an attack.
But they said the detainees had detonators in their apartment as well as a kilogramme of unidentified explosives and a number of maps, including one for the town of Bagnoli, outside Naples, where the NATO southern headquarters is based.
