Italian strike to affect Irish air passengers

A strike by air traffic controllers in Italy is set to cause some disruption for Irish travellers tomorrow.

A strike by air traffic controllers in Italy is set to cause some disruption for Irish travellers tomorrow.

Italian airline, Alitalia, has cancelled or rescheduled a number of flights today and tomorrow in response to the strike. This will not affect flights from Ireland today but some flights will be delayed tomorrow.

The airline’s Dublin to Milan flight, due to depart at 3.45 p.m., will be delayed until 6.30 p.m. The flight from Milan will also be delayed and is expected to arrive in Dublin at 5.40 p m. No disruption is expected in tomorrow’s service to or from Rome.

At this time, neither Aer Lingus nor Ryanair anticipate any delays in their service.
