The Jewish Community in Ireland has expressed concern at the appearance of anti-Semitic graffiti at the Jewish Museum in Dublin. The painting of the graffiti coincides with the death of Palestinian leader, Mr Yasser Arafat, early yesterday .
One senior member of the Jewish community, who did not wish to be identified, said it was an example of "opportunism". Other reports had indicated the Jewish cemetery had also been vandalised, he added.
"What has it got to do with being an Irish Jew?," he asked. "I'm hoping it is nothing more than just some crank doing it . . . it's not very nice. I just hope the Corporation will clean it up quickly.
"It is very disappointing to think there are still people out there who think like this."
