Liberian-born teenager Collins John has joined premier league Fulham from Twente Enschede, the Dutch club said today.

Liberian-born teenager Collins John has joined premier league Fulham from Twente Enschede, the Dutch club said today.

Both clubs agreed to the transfer on Friday evening and the 18-year-old striker is joining the London club on a 4-1/2 year deal, Twente said on their official website.

"Given FC Twente's financial situation this is good business but on the sporting front we regret Collins's departure," the Dutch club's coach Johan Plageman said.

"We wish him every success in England." Twente would not disclose the transfer fee but said it was not anywhere as high as the 5 to 7.0 million euros reported in the media.
