Amman - Jordanian authorities arrested 13 supporters of the Saudi-born Islamist leader, Mr Osama bin Laden, (left) before they could attack US targets in the kingdom, officials said yesterday. "The Jordanian security services have arrested a group of Jordanians, an Iraqi and an Algerian, who were trained in the use of explosives and weapons in Afghanistan planned to carry out several terrorist attacks in Jordan," the Prime Minister, Mr Abdel Rauf Rawabdeh, told parliament. The Deputy Prime Minister and Information Minister, Mr Ayman Majali, said: "Eleven Jordanians, an Iraqi national and an Algerian national were arrested and will be referred to the state security court for trial."
