Jordan are confident they can be a force on the Formula One grid next year despite suffering a financial setback.
The Silverstone-based team have been hit by the loss of the Stg£15 million-a-year deal with main sponsors Deutsche Post.
But they are hopeful of securing another deal before the new season gets underway next March when they will be looking to be more competitive.
"We believe we've got a bloody good package for 2003 - the chassis is looking fantastic and we already know that the Ford engine is second-to-none," said the team's commercial director Ian Phillips.
"We'd known about Deutsche Post's withdrawal for some time. We've mentally absorbed it - although we have yet to physically accept it. But we've got plenty more irons in the fire."
The departure of Deutsche Post could see former main sponsor Benson & Hedges increase their current deal.
The cigarette giant are understood to want a British driver on board next season with Northern Ireland's former Jordan, Ferrari and Jaguar driver Eddie Irvine, and Anthony Davidson - who raced twice for Minardi last season - the men in the frame.
If either are signed, then Japan's Takuma Sato is likely to move to British American Racing in a test driver role.
