Soccer:Celtic have completed the signing of Mexican international Efrain Juarez, who joins the club on a four-year deal.
The 22-year-old, who starred for his country at the recent World Cup tournament in South Africa, becomes the latest recruit to join the Hoops and will be officially unveiled this afternoon at a Celtic Park press conference at 2.30pm.
Manager Neil Lennon has already brought in a number of new players — Charlie Mulgrew, Cha Du-Ri, Joe Ledley, Daryl Murphy and now Juarez — as Celtic gear up for the season ahead, which begins with the Uefa Champions League qualifier against Portuguese side Braga this Wednesday.
More arrivals are expected at the club in the near future. Lennon is expected to open talks with England goalkeeper David James, who is due to arrive in Glasgow today for a tour of Parkhead.
Scunthorpe striker Gary Hooper and Maccabi Haifa playmaker Biram Kayal are also believed to be on the verge of joining Celtic this week.
