A High Court injunction barring newspapers from printing stories based on information leaked from the planning tribunal was today extended for a week.
Mr Justice Finnegan, President of the High Court, ruled the order should run for another seven days to allow lawyers to organise legal papers.
The injunction was imposed after Sunday Business Postjournalist Barry O'Kelly refused to reveal the source of confidential material used as the basis for two stories on the Mahon Tribunal.
Mr Anthony Dinan, managing director of the Sunday Business Post, also refused to give an undertaking on behalf of the paper not to publish stories based on leaked information.
Confidential papers were passed on to Mr O'Kelly which he later destroyed and he has so far failed to tell the tribunal officials the origin of the information.
Mr O'Kelly, who did attend today's hearing, has been ordered to appear before the High Court to reveal the source. The case is due to be heard again next Monday.
