The High Court has reserved judgment in a challenge by three Englishmen to an order of the Minister for Foreign Affairs permitting them to be tried for attempting to import £15 million worth of cannabis off the Co Cork coast in November 1999. Mr Justice O Caoimh said he would give his decision on December 7th.
The action has been taken by Mr Richard George Preece (49), Lorraine Mansions, Widdenham, London; Mr Barry Court (52) and Mr Mathew Paul Simkins, both with addresses in La Linea, Cadiz, Spain.
The court heard the three men were in custody and have been refused bail several times.
