Jurys Doyle Hotel Group is planning three new Jurys Inn developments in the Britain costing about €90 million.
The new hotels, along with another currently being built in Newcastle, will expand the group's capacity by about 16 per cent, or 1,000 bedrooms.
The Dublin-based group has chosen sites in Glasgow, Leeds and at Chelsea in London.
Chief executive Mr Pat McCann says: "The further roll-out of our highly successful Inns brand brings us to two new major UK cities and extends our reach in the London market.
"Upon completion, it will bring to 10 the total number of Jurys Inns operating in the UK, across eight major cities."
Mr McCann says: "We will continue to seek out further development opportunities in prime city centre locations, while at the same time maximising revenues in all our existing properties."
The group currently has 32 hotels and inns in the Republic, the UK and the United States, with a total of 6,145 bedrooms.
The Jurys Inn Glasgow will be adjacent to the city's central station, and should be completed by autumn next year.
The 216-bedroom Jurys Inn Leeds will be located in Brewery Wharf, with completion likely in spring, 2004.
Jurys Inn Chelsea is planned to open in spring, 2004, and will be located near the Kings Road.
