British rock band Kasabian and 1990s stalwarts Primal Scream are among the acts confirmed for the urban festival Forbidden Fruit.

The festival takes place in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham over the June Bank Holiday weekend on June 1st and June 2nd.

Kasabian have a huge following in Ireland judging by the number of fans who turned up for their concert last year in Marlay Park. They will headline the Saturday night.

Primal Scream are best known for their landmark 1991 album Screamadelica but have continued to tour and release music. The band will release More Light their first album in five years in May.
