Kenmare Resources today said it had signed a development contract with Fluor Corporation's Fluor Daniel unit to covering phase one of the Moma Titanium Minerals Project in South Africa.
The agreement covers a definition phase running until March 31st prior to the award of a full fixed-price development contract for the building, commissioning and transfer of facilities at Moma.
Exploration group Kenmare said it anticipates signing a turnkey agreement shortly after the definition phase ends.
Kenmare said its operations team has already been transferred into Fluor's Johannesburg office and is working closely with Fluor's project personnel.
