Dorchester, Massachusetts - The US Vice President, Mr Al Gore, received a valuable endorsement yesterday when Senator Ted Kennedy gave his front-running bid for the Democratic presidential nomination his stamp of approval. "You have the ability, the vision and the experience and the wisdom to lead our country in the year 2000 and in the years ahead," Mr Kennedy said in an appearance with Mr Gore in Massachusetts. Mr Gore is facing a surprisingly strong challenge from his only rival for the party's nomination, Mr Bill Bradley, a former senator.
