Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny will travel to Brussels today for meetings about the referendum on the Lisbon treaty.
Mr Kenny will meet the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, and Commissioner for Agriculture Mariann Fischer Boel.
The Fine Gael leader, who is a vice president of the European People's Party, will also brief his colleagues on Fine Gael's pro-treaty referendum campaign.
A date for the Lisbon treaty referendum is expected to be set soon.
