Nairobi - Just six months after a bomb attack killed 229 people in Nairobi, Kenya fears the capture of Mr Abdullah Ocalan could again bring it misery at the hands of foreign radicals. Kenyan officials said three of its embassies in Europe were stormed by Kurdish supporters of Mr Ocalan soon after his capture, with two staff members taken hostage in Bonn.

The Foreign Minister, Mr Bonaya Godana, scrambled to absolve Kenya from blame in the events that led to Mr Ocalan's arrest, saying Kenya had no idea he was being flown to Turkey and would not have agreed to sending him there. He blamed Greece for dragging Kenya into the dispute, saying the Greek ambassador to Nairobi had secretly hosted Mr Ocalan at his residence for 12 days before being told he was not welcome in the country.
