Tournament minnows Kenya became the first team from World Cup Group B to reach the Super Six stage when they beat Bangladesh by 32 runs today.

Man-of-the-match Maurice Odumbe, who top-scored with an unbeaten 52 in Kenya's 217 for seven, took four for 38 in 10 overs as Bangladesh slumped to 185 all out.

Kenya, who follow defending champions Australia into the next phase, have now beaten Bangladesh in six of their seven one-day meetings.

The Asian team, whose last victory in a one-day international came against Pakistan at the 1999 World Cup, have now gone 32 consecutive one-dayers without a win.

India sounded out championship ambitions with a famous win over old foes Pakistan at SuperSport Park.

Led by a masterful 98 from maestro batsman Sachin Tendulkar, the Indians took the first match played between the two sides in three years with ease, recording a six-wicket with 26 balls to spare.

The victory secured India's place in the Super Sixes but left Pakistan's hopes of staying in the competition hanging by a thread.

They must now hope for a comprehensive victory over Zimbabwe in Bulawayo on Tuesday and that England lose by a big margin to Australia tomorrow for them to qualify on net run rate.
