Bryan Sheehan was in dazzling form at Pearse Stadium and his eight-point tally went a long way in helping Kerry to beat Galway by 0-15 to 0-10.

Kerry are now set to meet Derry who also made it through to the NFL Division 1 final this afternoon after overcoming Donegal by 0-15 to 0-10 at Letterkenny.

Elsewhere, it was an upsetting day for Kildare who were relegated after failing to beat Laois at O'Moore Park.

A much-depleted Laois team, who have already been relegated, were leading 0-08 to 0-03 at half-time but the side failed to cement their advantage and the match finished level atLaois 0-13 Kildare 1-10.

Tyrone confirmed their place in the top flight for next season with a 0-15 to 0-13 win over Mayo at Healy Park.

In Division Two, Armagh overcame Dublin by 3-13 to 1-10 in the re-fixed clash at Crossmaglen this afternoon. The result meant that Armagh are guaranteed a spot in NFL2 next year at the expense of Cavan, who were relegated.
 
In Hurling, Galway beat Cork by 2-22 to 0-24 to confirm their spot in next Sunday's NHL Division 1 decider. Galway will be facing Tipperary who booked their place in the final with a 1-15 to 1-10 win over Kilkenny.
