Queen's 1-17 Down 1-11:A blistering second half display led by young Derry star James Kielt helped the students of Queen's knock out holders Down in tonight's McKenna Cup semi-final in Newry.
The sides were level at half-time, but Kielt grabbed a goal ond a point in the three minutes after the interval as Queen’s went on a scoring spree that brought them a goal and nine points in the second half.
Cathal Magee scored Down’s goal in the 15th minute of the game, but it was Kielt who dominated the scoring, with a personal haul of 1-5 as the students ran out winners by six points.
They will now face Donegal in Saturday night’s decider in Omagh.
