Kilkenny collect six All Stars

To the victors go the spoils

To the victors go the spoils. As such, it is fitting that All-Ireland champions Kilkenny lead the way in this year's hurling All Stars with six of the 15 awards.

Kilkenny captain Henry Shefflin wins his sixth consecutive award with teammate Tommy Walsh picking up his fifth selection in-a-row.

The awards will be presented on Friday night at the gala All Stars banquet during which the football All Stars will also be announced. The footballer and hurler of the year will also be announced.

Munster champions Waterford occupy six berths in the team with beaten All-Ireland finalists collecting three awards. Tipperary full-back Declan Fanning completes the selection.
