NFL Division 1B/Kilkenny 2-17 Limerick 0-12:Brian Cody's Kilkenny side scored a decisive victory over Limerick at Nowlan Park this afternoon to get their season back on track.
The defending champions beat Limerick by 2-17 to 0-12, despite not having any Ballyhale players due to their taking part in the Shamrocks emphatic win in the All-Ireland senior club final at the weekend.
Limerick were also under-strength for the match, due to the absence of Denis Moloney, Brian Geary and Ollie Moran.
Kilkenny win sees the Black Cats move up to third place in Division 1B, one point behind leaders Galway and second-placed Tipperary. Limerick slip down to fifth spot.
