Athens - The Kurdish rebel leader, Mr Abdullah Ocalan, asked Athens yesterday to help organise an international conference on the Kurd issue, and said no country was willing to grant him refuge.
In an interview with the Greek weekly, To Vima, Mr Ocalan, leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), said the Kurd problem "must be resolved by an international conference like the one for Kosovo in order to save the Kurds from genocide."
