A 63-year-old retired Co Derry labourer is to stand trial on 11 sex charges dating back almost 30 years. Mr John Francis Coyle, of Lindsayville, Ballyronan, Magherafelt, faces charges of rape, gross indecency and indecent assault.
The alleged offences involved two schoolgirls, now in their 30s. They are alleged to have taken place over a four-year period between 1969 and 1973.
Mr Coyle was released on bail until his trial at Omagh Crown Court on August 24th when he appeared at Cookstown Magistrates' Court yesterday.
