Vhi Healthcare has signed an initial two year deal with the Ladies Gaelic Football Association to sponsor the All-Ireland Club Championships at junior, intermediate and senior levels.

This year is the 30th anniversary of the competition which will become know as the the Vhi Healthcare All-Ireland Club Championship.

This years' finals will take place in late November.

Ladies Gaelic Football has been growing in popularity in recent times. Last week over 25,600 attended the All-Ireland finals in Croke Park while 230,000 people watched the games live on TG4.

There are now over 100,000 playing members in over 1,000 clubs across Ireland and overseas and this year will also see the inaugural women's International Rules series taking place.

In tandem with the sponsorship Vhi Healthcare will partner with the Ladies Gaelic Football Association to host a series of health seminars in clubs throughout Ireland next year to provide lifestyle and health advice to sportswomen nationwide.

Ms Geraldine Giles, President of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association said: "Vhi Healthcare is an ideal partner for us and we look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship over the coming years. Club football is the cornerstone of our organisation as it permeates into towns and villages across Ireland and this sponsorship enables us to promote this competition at grassroots level."
