A landlord who seized a tenant's television and video against rent arrears has been ordered by the Circuit Civil Court to return them. Judge Kieran O'Connor also ordered Mr Thomas Farrell, of Bedroom Elegance, Dorset Street, Dublin, to replace the original locks on the flat of Ms Lorraine Coyle at Upper Dorset Street.
Mr William Hamilton, counsel for Ms Coyle, said the goods removed were valued at £700. Mr Farrell replaced the locks while Ms Coyle was inside, and for a short period she had been imprisoned in the flat.
Judge O'Connor also granted Ms Coyle an injunction restraining Mr Farrell from further interfering with her.
