One of the UK's best-known lawyers yesterday accused sections of the British media of trying to "colour the stream" of justice with regard to the Bloody Sunday inquiry. Mr Michael Mansfield QC made his comment during a visit to the scene of the January 1972 killings in the Bogside area of Derry.
Mr Mansfield, who is representing the families of two of the 14 Bloody Sunday victims, told reporters he was concerned that some sections of the British media were openly campaigning in favour of soldiers who were involved in the killings being granted anonymity at the Saville Inquiry.
