Paddy Bradley was instrumental in Derry's Division One league win over Ulster rivals Tyrone while Kerry edged a tight encounter with Kildare at Austin Stack Park.
All-Star forward Bradley returned to Celtic Park and scored half of Derry's points in their 0-14 to 0-10 win over Tyrone.
It was a welcome return to winning ways after Derry lost to Galway last week. Yesterday's win moves them back joint top of the Division One table.
Tyrone held a narrow 0-07 to 0-06 lead at the interval as goal scoring opportunities were scarce.
Kerry will have been glad to put points on the board early on in their encounter for they were pushed all the way before denying Kildare 0-09 to 0-08.
Bryan Sheehan, Donncha Walsh and Darren O'Sullivan put Kerry 0-04 ahead without reply in the opening stages
Tommy Griffin had a goal disallowed before the home side went into the break 0-07 to 0-04 ahead.
