Gaelic Games:Today's Leinster club senior hurling semi-final between Kilkenny champions Ballyhale Shamrocks and Wexford's Oulart-The Ballagh has been postponed after the pitch at Wexford Park was deemed unplayable.
Heavy rain over the weekend had left pools of water on parts of the playing surface, with the sideline area particularly affected by the conditions.
Referee Barry Kelly consulted both team managers before making the decision to call off the game, much to the disgruntlement of supporters from both sides, who believed that an earlier decision should have been made considering the state of the pitch and the forecasted heavy rain.
No new date has been announced for the fixture, but with the Leinster final penned in for Sunday week, it is likely to be played next Saturday.
