French coach Roger Lemerre has recalled Liverpool striker Nicolas Anelka and Parma midfielder Johan Micoud for the World Cup warm-up match against Russia at the Stade de France next week.
Anelka, who moved to the Liverpool after a disappointing spell at Paris St Germain, had been left out of France's last two games against Romania and Scotland.
The former Arsenal and Real Madrid player has not played for France since a 1-1 draw against Australia in November.
Micoud, coming back after a long injury lay-off, last appeared for the world and European champions in August, replacing Robert Pires in the 1-0 win over Denmark.
Lemerre also kept faith with Bolton’s Youri Djorkaeff, who was picked last month to take on Scotland after Arsenal's Pires injured a knee which has ruled him out of the World Cup finals.
