Tomorrow's big race meeting at Leopardstown hinges on a 7.30 a.m. precautionary inspection.
The course is raceable at present but the going is heavy and there has been further rain today with the possibility of a frost overnight.
"It has been raining all morning, although it is quite light at the moment and is due to clear by tea-time," said racecourse manager Tom Burke.
"There could be a frost in the Dublin area but not setting in until around 4 a.m. or 5 a.m. in the morning. That shouldn't pose too much of a problem we hope but in view of the forecast we thought it only prudent to call a precautionary inspection."
The card is due to feature two Group One contests, the Baileys Arkle Perpetual Challenge Cup Novice Chase and the featured AIG (Europe) Champion Hurdle.
