A Killybegs-based fishing boat that got into difficulties off the Mayo coast this morning has been towed to safety.
The Rachael D, with two crew members on board, began drifting after ropes got caught in the vessel's propellers.
The boat was about a half mile off Belderrig on the Erris coastline.
The Ballyglass lifeboat was launched after the Rachael D's captain issued a mayday call, and the vessel was towed to Ballyglass pier.
