Fantastic Light produced a brilliant burst to mow down Kalanisi and land the Prince Of Wales Stakes by two-and-a-half lengths at Royal Ascot today.
Godolphin`s five-year-old, sent off 100-30 second favourite, was produced late by Frankie Dettori, and charged clear in the last furlong for a highly impressive performance.
2-1 favourite Kalanisi launched his challenge two furlongs out but had no answer to the surge of the winner and had to settle for second. Hightori (7-1) finished third.
"He`s a good horse and I think now we have to take on the best of the best. He will go for the Eclipse and King George and we would not be afraid of anybody."
When asked about a possible clash with Derby winner Galileo Sheikh Mohammed said he would "love to take him on".
Mozart landed a gamble for the Ballydoyle team in the opening Group Three Jersey Stakes.
The Irish 2,000 Guineas second was well backed from 5-2 to 7-4f on the course and Mick Kinane took the bull by the horns from the start - bouncing the Danehill colt out in front.
He went for home two furlongs out and, although coming to the end of his stamina reserves inside the last half furlong, held on to deny Aldebaran by a neck. 100-1 shot Ratio was third.
"I`ve never seen a horse with pace like this. He has been working seriously well." said trainer Aidan O`Brien afterwards.
Mozart now looks set to go for the July Cup at Newmarket next month.
