Donnacha Sheehan from county champions, Adare, has been named at left corner forward on the Limerick team to face Clare at Thurles on Sunday.

Brian Geary who has been sidelined for several months is named in the substitutes with Paudie O'Dwyer chosen at centre back for his championship debut.

Stephen Lucey has recovered from a recent injury to be named at full back with last season's young hurler of the year, Seamus Hickey, named at right wing back and Mark Foley will captain the side at left half back.

The Moran brothers, Niall and Ollie, will be in the half forward line.

Clare make just one change from the side that dethroned Waterford with the injured Darragh Clancy losing out and Brendan Bulger dropping back to fill the corner back role. Pat Vaughan will fill the vacancy left by Bulger at half back.
